Women's Flow Arts Retreat

from $222.00

July 17th - 19th, 2026

Florissant, CO

This retreat is ideal for women who want to tap into accessing the meditative state of “Flow.” Movement, sound, meditation, one of our more introspective and mindful retreats!

Event Overview

Friday, July 17th: Arrive to our campsite in the afternoon. Set up your tent, and have a workshop on the general state of Flow, connect with our facilitators and other guests and engage in an LED nighttime flow workshop including light up hula hoops, spinning poi and light whips!

Saturday, July 18th Wake up and enjoy a morning yoga session, and spend the day honing in our hooping skills, journaling, or painting. A very physically relaxed day filled with tons of mental stimulation, creation and presence. In the evening we will have the pleasure of experiencing a sound healing ceremony, led by our resident sound healer, Darah Bueche.

Sunday, July 19th: There will be a space for a ‘talent show’ of sorts. If you would like to be seen in your art, your movement, etc., there will be a space for you to preform and be admired for your flows before we pack up camp, have a closing ceremony and head home.

Facilitator and Guides:

This experience will be facilitated by Fran, the founder of Empowered to Explore. Fran is a certified Women’s Guidance Facilitator, a Wilderness First Responder, and has been professionally facilitating outdoor learning experiences for 7 years. She brings an introspective element into exploring the outdoors which allows you to more deeply connect with yourself, your intuition, and your confidence through your adventures.

The workshops on movement will be led by Makenna Mitchell, a professional hoop artist who has been leading and teaching people how to start their hooping journeys for 3 years now. She leads with a heartfelt kindness and openness that allows you to try, feel silly and try again.

The art workshop will be led by Timber Gentry, a local artist born and raised in the San Luis Valley. She creates both digital and physical art of many mediums, and was the artist behind our beautiful hoodie design!

The sound healing will be led by Darah Bueche, founder of wellness group, The Gaia Codes. She works with sounds of nature to create an ethereal sound experience unlike any other.
