**If you’re also interested in Plant ID on May 10th, use code ‘LEARN’ to save!

This gathering is ideal for women who want to meet women in their community and learn more about our local and migrating birds. This will not be an overly strenuous day, including a mild hike around a flat area in eastern Fort Collins. Even if you are a very-beginner to the world of birding, you are welcome in this space too!

Event Overview

We will meet at the CSU Environmental Learning Center in Fort Collins, CO at 9:00 a.m. We will get to know one another a bit and talk about various tools for bird identification before embarking on our hike. We will have a picnic lunch together by the river and share stories of nature, adventuring and being women. During the day, we will have a female ornithology expert with us to help answer questions about working professionally with bird populations.

Facilitator and Guides:

This experience will be facilitated by Fran, the founder of Empowered to Explore. Fran is a certified Women’s Guidance Facilitator, a Wilderness First Responder, and has been professionally facilitating outdoor learning experiences for 7 years. She brings an introspective element into exploring the outdoors which allows you to more deeply connect with yourself, your intuition, and your confidence through your adventures.

We will have 1 - 2 female guides accompanying our trip, TBD!

Logistics

Lunch and all materials needed for activities are included in your registration.

I didn’t cap registration on this short event, so bring all your friends. Be sure to register so that I have enough food for our picnic, see you all so soon
